The hotel has the potential to be spectacular as the building is lovely a d steeped in history. The rooms are a little tired and the decor just doesn't work. The bar is a lovely room and drinks are generally good. The restaurant service and food are not great.
We had a wonderful weekend at Botleigh Grange. It looks like it's recently been renovated and under new management. We really enjoyed the spa and jacuzzi, the food was lovely, really beautiful rooms, warm and cosy but not too warm - just right, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely go back. Thank you!
Our wedding on the 06/09/2025 was one of the best days we have ever had. The team from the start of the wedding planning process to final preparations were truly amazing. We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to Alex, Tracy and Lola for making the whole wedding day spectacular. You were all available every minute of the day and night and kept us informed of what was happening at all times. The wedding breakfast we had was absolutely gorgeous and every guest said the same. The evening buffet was just as good. We would like to thank the chef as the food was delicious all day. The grounds were utterly beautiful and made for stunning photographs around the lake and woods. The day was truly magical and made special memories that will forever be in our hearts.
Delicious Afternoon Tea for a birthday treat. Scones were big size and cakes bountiful. Sandwiches very tasty. Excellent service. Best afternoon tea I've had. Would recommend . Decor in hotel is beautiful.
Lovely place even in the rain. Staff very helpful and friendly. Cream tea was lovely, very tasty. Coffee pots need checking as large chip in spout which made it hard to pour. Looking forward to going back again soon.
Had a fab NYE here with family, great entertainment, atmosphere and firework display at midnight. Our room was very good, although the building is dated and in need of some TLC in parts. Breakfast on New Year’s Day was disappointing (poor choice and service).
No longer doing a Sunday carvery which is a shame as it was good to be greeted by the chef and have a chat whilst meat was being cut. Food is now plated up for you and brought to your table, presented very well and is still excellent and worthy of 5 stars.
The new owners of the Grange have in such a short period of time transformed the Botley Grange Hotel into a place you want to stay at. Immaculately clean from public areas to guest rooms. Amazing fresh home cooked food, expertly cooked to wonderful attentive staff. The Grange represents good value and a super location to visit the south coast with the added bonus they except pets. We stayed over Christmas and the Christmas lunch was probably the best I have ever had. We will be back.
